Here are some helpful tips to a Totally Rad Tan

It is important to prepare your skin properly to ensure an even, streak-free tan that looks natural and lasts longer. Here are some tips for prepping your skin before applying self-tanner and maintaining your tan after.

Prepping Your Skin:

-Exfoliate 24 hours before self-tanning. Focus on dry areas & thicker skin such as elbows, knees, knuckles and ankles. These areas tend to become darker if not exfoliated and/or moisturized.
-If you shave, make sure to give your skin 24 hours after shaving before applying self tanner.
-Lightly moisturize ankles, knuckles, elbows and knees to reduce the chance of these areas becoming more dark due to thicker and sometimes dryer skin. DO NOT moisturize the whole body before self tanning as it creates a barrier between the tanning solution and your skin reducing the full benefits of our self tanner.
-A cool shower before tanning closes your pores and cools your skin, creating an ideal surface for the tanner. Make sure your skin is completely dry before applying self-tanner to prevent streaks.

Application Techniques:

-Using a tanning mitt helps apply the product evenly and protects your hands from staining. You can also use a rubber glove, but the mitt will make it easier.

-Apply in Sections: Work in sections, starting from your legs and moving upwards. This helps you ensure even coverage and prevents missed spots.
-Blend well using circular motions to blend the tanner into your skin for a natural look.

After applying Totally Rad Self-Tanner RAPID Mousse, allow 2 hours for a medium tan, 3 hours for a dark tan, and 4 hours for the darkest tan before rinsing.
